I had a really bad mount that didn't work well, so i found another one that i just modified to work with 20mm m3 screws and now my prints are worse even though the hotend is more rigid and way closer to flat against the bed, yet random or harsh corners and seams look really bad.

It sounds like the modifications you made to the mount may have caused some unintended side effects on the print quality. Check for any issues with the alignment or stability of the hotend, as these could be causing the random or harsh corners and seams. Additionally, ensure that your printer's firmware and slicer settings are optimized for the new mount. Fine-tuning these aspects should help improve your print quality.
