Hello everyone. I was looking for help on my first printing project. I was looking to make a case for a tablet for a cosplay Im working on. I have already worked on the software and I really want to make this look good. The Files I got from the designer are built to fit a different sized tablet and Im looking for ways to resize these files to better fit the tablet I own. Im trying to get this to fit 244.5mm x 154.3mm x 7 mm ...instead of 247.6mm x 178.5mm x 5.9 mm. I could obviously do a global scale in something like Cura when I do the slicing, but Im afraid the round buttons and pin holes will then become oblong. Any way I could remodel this in Blender or any other CAD like program.

Any help would be amazing. I don't have a printer of my own and I was looking to print this in PETG on a friends/ local makerspace printer.

AI Help

You can use Blender or a similar CAD program to resize the model to fit your tablet dimensions correctly. Here are some steps you can follow:

  1. Import the STL file of the case into Blender.
  2. Select the parts of the case that you want to resize.
  3. In Blender, you can use the Scale tool to resize the parts manually to your desired dimensions.
  4. Make sure to scale uniformly to avoid distortion of the round buttons and pinholes.
  5. Once you have adjusted the dimensions, you can export the modified file as an STL for printing.

If you encounter any specific issues during the resizing process, feel free to ask for further assistance.

Best of luck with your cosplay project!
