Hi all,

Just finished up a Benchy print on my Ender 3 Pro. This printer was acquired used, I had some bowden tube blockage problems to start, but seems I've resolved all of that. The Benchy print went well, few quality issues, but otherwise a fantastic print given the headache I've had.

I've let the printer cool off, and I just now tried to start another print, but as soon as the preheat command hits (Using Octoprint), the printer lets out a loooooooong beep that won't stop until I shut it off completely. I tried the manual "Preheat PLA" option on the screen, and it immediately began beeping.

I didn't have any temperature issues during my Benchy print. No errors reported on the screen. Really not sure what to do.

It sounds like the beeping issue may be related to the temperature sensor or heating element in your printer. Double check all connections related to the hotend, thermistor, and heating cartridge to ensure they are secure and functioning properly. You may also want to check the wiring and look for any signs of damage.

If the issue persists, it could be a firmware-related issue. Make sure your firmware is up to date and consider resetting the settings to default or re-flashing the firmware.

If the problem still persists, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer or a local 3D printing community for further assistance.

So does it just beep when it prints?

As soon as I set the heat, it beeps. Didn't beep at all during my Benchy print.

Pretty sure beeping indicates a power supply issue

#

Or it failed to boot correctly

Let me try reseating the power cable.

#

My micro USB cable also seems to provide power... which is strange. Since it'll still run a bit if I pull the main cord.

#

Nope no change with PSU cable reseated. Unplugged micro USB cable so it wasn't interfering at all, same issue. Hit preheat on the screen and it takes about 5 seconds then beeps.

Unplugged from UPS and brought directly to wall power and seems to be fine. Must have been drawing too much from UPS. Testing a print start now
