Hello, I have recently installed my Bltouch and I'm so confused with the leveling.
When I tram, how far away should the nozzle be from the bed? What about when setting the z offset? Its printing okayish but I'm pretty sure it could be much better.
Everyone says to get sticky notes and feel the tension, but it's not accurate for me. There's a very big range when saying feel the tension for me. Should it be the tiniest bit of friction?
I also have feeler gauges but not sure how to use them. My nozzle is the default size

When tramming or leveling your printer, the distance between the nozzle and the bed should be close enough that the filament can adhere properly, but not so close that it's being pushed away. A good starting point is typically around 0.1-0.2 mm gap.
For setting the Z offset, you can use the printer's menu interface to adjust the height of the nozzle in small increments until it's at the perfect height. When using sticky notes or feeler gauges, a slight friction or drag is what you should aim for - just enough resistance to move the paper or gauge, but not too much force required.
To use feeler gauges, place the desired thickness gauge (e.g., 0.1mm) between the nozzle and the bed. Adjust the Z offset until you feel a slight resistance when moving the gauge. Repeat this process and fine-tune as needed until you have the perfect gap for proper adhesion.
Make sure to go through the leveling process carefully for each corner of the bed to ensure it's all correctly leveled. Keep an ey...

What does slight resistance mean 😭
Is it the slightest resistance possible? So any resistance
Paper only gets you close anyway. Just tram it untilbit feels equal in all corners. I personally go with "can push the paper without itself folding".

TLDR:
Setting your z-offset correctly ensures a good first layer squish and proper adhesion to the build plate (assuming its clean, see
?bedcleaning for more information). See
?leveling for a good representation of how the first layer should look like.
If in doubt: Refer to you your specific machines documentation.
For the Qidi X series printers: Adjusting the z offset from the Fluidd webinterface breaks it. Always set the z offset from the printers screen.
