#Setup Wrong?

It sounds like you may have a compatibility issue between the new parts you added and the existing setup on your Ender 3. I recommend checking the connections of the new motherboard and ensuring that it is correctly configured with the Marlin software. Additionally, double-check that the new rods and springs are installed properly and haven't caused any mechanical issues. If the problem persists, you may need to consult the documentation for the new parts or seek advice from the manufacturer for troubleshooting steps specific to your setup.
@noble terracewhat part did you actually added, and what did you did, and what do you mean by does not print
good point, i added another rod to help with the Y axis, also added some new springs for the plate, also got a new mother board 4.2.7
wanna see it in a call
@tawny ocean
@noble terraceand now what does the printer do?
honestly the printer starts when it goes down to print the leveling is all off, it always scrtches the glass bed
i have the auto leveler and it wont level it correctly i dont know ehy
so your z-offset is too low
mmm how would i got about that
https://www.wevolver.com/article/z-offset-what-it-is-and-how-to-adjust-it
TLDR:
Setting your z-offset correctly ensures a good first layer squish and proper adhesion to the build plate (assuming its clean, see
?bedcleaning for more information). See
?leveling for a good representation of how the first layer should look like.
If in doubt: Refer to you your specific machines documentation.
For the Qidi X series printers: Adjusting the z offset from the Fluidd webinterface breaks it. Always set the z offset from the printers screen.
this helps with the cr touch too?
bltouch and crtouch is the same thing
they work differently internally, but for you it is the same thing
(the bltouch uses a plastic probe and a magnet and hall sensor, the crtouch uses a metal probe and an optical sensor)
but both do exactly the same thing, and uses the exact same protocol for data communication
what is a good rule of thumb with seting the z offset??
so how do i set it up? is it in the marlin code, the gcode for the printer itself
the way I personally do it: start at Zoffet=0, then I move my Z to 0.2mm, then use a 0.2mm shim, then babystep until the feeler gauge drag, then save that offset. then finetune during the next print
your offset should be between around -1 to -5mm
see, super wide range
kk ill be back
new problem..
so now it is printing but it seems too thin, and i have a glass bed which does help since it wont stick
hmmm I prefer this page: https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#esteps
it have a calculator bellow
the teaching* they basically tell you to measure the filament and mark it 120mm away from the extruder input. Then tell the printer to extrude 100mm. Then you measure what is left. Should be 20mm, but since you did not calibrated it, it is most likelly wrong. So you enter how much you have left in the calculator and your actual esteps, and it tell you what to set it at
but one page or the other, the result is the same
