Hello everyone! I came here in search of help with a very frustrating issue I am having. My Z offset isn't uniform across the bed (Some places are higher or lower than others). I have been having this issue since I bought my printer around 3 - 4 months ago. It seems as if the ABL is completely broken or it just doesn't do anything.

What I have tried so far to fix my issue:

Manual bed mesh creation (with cooking paper)
Automatic mesh creation (with magnetic probe)
Gantry alignment with calipers to the frame
Gantry alignment with an object to the bed
Gantry alignment with the magnetic probe to the bed
Gantry alignment with the built in function
Reinstalling firmware
Switching slicers (all had m420 s1 in start of gcode after g28)
Creating the mesh at different temperatures
Seeing if the mesh even is in EEPROM (it was there)
Playing around with Z offset
Switching PEI sheets
Tightening and loosening the x and y axis belts

I can provide more details or pictures when I get home in about 2 hours.

It sounds like you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting to try and resolve the Z offset inconsistency issue on your 3D printer. Since you've tried manual and automatic bed mesh creation, gantry alignments, firmware reinstallation, and various other adjustments, it may be helpful to check the physical condition of your printer components.

Here are a few additional things you may want to consider:

  • Verify that the bed and nozzle are clean and free of any debris that could be affecting the consistency of the print.
  • Check for any loose or damaged components that could be causing the bed leveling issue.
  • Ensure that the sensor or probe being used for automatic bed leveling is functioning correctly.
  • Check for any binding or misalignment in the X and Y axes that could be impacting the Z offset.

If the issue persists, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer or an experienced technician for further assistance. Providing pictures or additional details when you get hom...
