#is this too low to the plate?

It sounds like your nozzle might be too close to the print bed. Try adjusting the bed leveling and increasing the distance between the nozzle and the bed slightly. This should help with feeding filament properly during the first layer. Just make sure not to raise the nozzle too high, as that can also cause issues with adhesion and print quality. Good luck!
Yes
Clicking is a good sign that it's not extruding properly. That super thin layer means it's just barely extruding and smashing it into the bed. You want to raise the z-offset in the settings or move the z-endstop (not familiar with which your printer has)
Thanks
when z is at 0 i have very little friction on paper
The paper test is just to get close. I would suggest a bed level test and adjust the z-offset as it's printing. Something like this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:580405

The better areas are with .2 higher z offset
Which is really high
What’s mad is that the nozzle wipe section is the best bit
Do you have an extra nozzle?
No I don’t
It's possible that the nozzle is partially clogged/damaged from grinding on the bed. Raise the nozzle and try extruding in mid air. The filament should come out easily, consistently and relatively straight. If it immediately curls up to one side, there's likely a partial clog in which case you can try a cold pull
That looks good so no clog
I do have quite a long Bowden
But I don’t see how it could be that if it extrudes fine in air
So this is with the offset raised .2? try lowering by .01 and reprinting. just babystep it
that sure is a long bowden. It shouldn't be causing this issue though
Okay I’ll print. Now .1 lower than the start
I feel moderate friction on paper with that
Could it be flow related?
I was just thinking that. is the bowden kinked right above the hotend?
Only a little when it is homed
Quite a lot of clicking and under extrusion
I’ve set back to start value
What's that value?
The z offset
yeah what's the number
when you're raising/lowering the offset, are you going by 0.1 or 0.01 increments?
Ok flow test was interesting. Shit result all round but +10 is a lot over
Nicer
+10
+0
-20
Try the +10 flow with the bed level lines again
Better photo
Sent it to print now
More even but blobs and clicks and missing a bit
still too low. raise offset
Alright. Raised and sent to print
Little wisp and still hardly any filament on the right side
Seems slightly better
Came off in 1 piece
Nice. We're getting there. Try just a little higher
still need to raise it but that's looking much better.
Came off in 1 piece but left side wasn’t adhered
is abl on?
your starting gcode in your slicer
yeah. try adding M420 S1 after G28
Try G29 instead?
G29 will make a new mesh
and it would need the bed leveller plugged in to do that
which is like a hot swappable part used for abl
hmm okay. I've gotta do a little research on this printer. Not familiar with delta printers at all. It seems like either the mesh is slightly tilted for some reason or it's not using the mesh at all
Maybe it needs another bed levelling
Couldn't hurt
finally found the levelling module lol
definitely some variance
right yeah up to 1mm variance. It's made a mesh and stored it. Trying a new spiral now
🤞
nozzle was too low that time, raised up a bit
Tiny bit of clicking but don’t really want to raise it more
Pretty uniform all the way
That looks a lot better. a little high towards the outside but there's clear lines now. Do you know if the bed is heated when the bed leveler runs?
it is heated yeah. Its the same thickness, i think the transparency of the petg makes it look a little different in this light
Gotcha. I say queue up a print and see how it runs
gonna do a cali cube
all good now bud, thanks 🙂
Awesome! Happy printing!
