I was following a guide to callibrate the printer, and start doing a retraction test from 1 to 6mm at 0,2mm/mm step. Looking at the tower, all seem similar so i picked the one with the smoother surface and less filament strings, which was about 9 blocks.

Now according to the guide, printers with bowden extruder should be around 6mm. But if i do 1+(9*0,2) =2.8 which seems very low, am i missing something?

It's great that you are following a calibration guide for your printer. In this case, with a Bowden extruder, it's common to have lower retraction distances compared to direct drive extruders. A retraction distance of around 2.8mm does not seem too low for a Bowden setup, especially if it resulted in a smoother surface and less filament strings. It's important to find the balance between reducing stringing and maintaining good filament flow during printing. If the print quality is good with 2.8mm retraction, you can stick with that setting.

Nope fine. Thats what the test is for.
