#help tuning my orcaslicer

It seems like there may have been some confusion in your message. "Orca" typically refers to a type of 3D printer, not a setting. If you can provide more specific information about the settings you are referring to, I would be happy to help you understand them.
also, why the difference is so big? my default, on orca, it is 15 mm/s and 150%
@signal narwhal hi. Would u mind helping me on this topic for a few mins?
yeah you can just use those values
some printers can bridge faster/slower than others
I wouldn't think too hard about the default values
im using the settings creality has on its slicer for my printer model
orca has bottom layer speeds, too
I don't have OS on my work computer, but it's somewhere in there 😛
take a screenshot of the speed page
oh you know what
"Internal solid infill" is what creality calls "bottom/top layers"
er
other way around
but you get the idea
yes
huh
in order of height, prints go: first layer | solid infill | sparse infill | solid infill | top layer
yeah
and gap infill?
yo but
by default
orca sets sparse infill and internal solid infill to 120 both
I have no idea what creality calls gap infill
no
but default values are probably fine
ah
huh
okey, about this
i need to change right?
im just creating a new profile so no worries
just go ahead and copy the values over
also, what orca calls bridge speed, 15 mm/s external and 150% internal
should be
these 2?
yeah
looks fine
1500 is probably fine
seems a little high, but try it and see what happens
okey
moving to filament xd crealiity seems to have more options omg
something to change?
flow ratio?
yeah
what is the chamber temp?
and cooling doesnt matter that much right? default by orca should work
set chamber temp to 0 for PLA
yeah
what were top surface and sprse infill?
and internal solid?
sparse and internal solid infill is infill line width?
and top surface is top/bottom line width?
or what
yes
but yes so i stop anoyying u? ^^'
what you said was correct
make it the same across the board
but which? cuz numbers are a bit different
ruiqi pls stay with me im almost finishing 😦 pls 🙏
do 0.45
okey, so length is retraction distance and wipe distance is wipe length?
fk them xD
manufactures should use the same terms ffs
retract before wipe should be 70%?
Yeah
and the travel distance threshold?
nothing else to change?
should the travel distance be 0.63?
Yes
Yeah just copy those over
maximun speed E is feedrate?
Yes
E = filament
Extruding and retracting
These values aren’t critical
They’re just used for estimating print time
5000
Yes
about basic info, should i change something?
What’s in there?
Double check printable area and make sure bed size is correct
Otherwise just leave it
so i guess it is ok
about the G code
should i change it? there are differences
but idk which one looks better

orca looks fine
end code too?
why creality has less actions?
like, why creality wouldnt wait for bed temperature?
