Wonderful work
Is it risin or filament print?
it was primed with vallejo surface primer
What's the difference when resin is primed or not?
paint dislikes sticking to smooth surfaces
it can cause paint to run or collect in crevasses.
Its always a good idea to sand something lightly or use primer to add a rougher texture for the paint to stick to.
ideally both
this applies to most types of surfaces as well
thanks for the tip, I'm gonna hand paint my first resin
make sure you thin your paints well for a good result
I find that whether I use primer or not I HAVE to do multiple layers for certain colours regardless of the primer colour, is that just a issue I'm gonna face by using cheap acrylics? xD
since having thin paints is ideal that also means some lighter colors will not cover as well and will require multiple coats
im not sure if its a problem with your acrylics but I like to use vallejo and you can find their bottles for economical prices
Do I thin acrylic using water or there's a required paint thinner for acrylic?
water should be fine
I like to use distilled water
since you'll be uusing a brush make sure the paint is completely dry bebefore adding another coat or else the semi dry paint will roll up into balls or tear when the brush goes over
most paint companies sell thinners for their paints but I dont buy them since they run out and its another toxic substance
