Im currently rocking an Ender 3 S1 Plus, and finally made the jump to klipper, and had the best worst idea of all time. I currently have a 3DChameleon, a filament changer designed to work with any printer, but i don't like how it is controlled. the only way to control it is with a single button, regardless is its you or the printer that's controlling it. since the actual changer is just 2 stepper motors, i was thinking that i could just connect it to my main board, but one that can handle 6 motors is too costly. i was wondering how bad of an idea it is to buy a cheap main board and configure it as a secondary, or in my case, a tertiary MCU, since my Pi is already set up as one. Is this even feasible?

Attempting to connect a filament changer directly to a cheaper main board as a secondary or tertiary MCU can be risky and may lead to issues with compatibility, communication protocols, power requirements, and overall functionality. You may encounter challenges in configuring and synchronizing the additional MCU with your existing setup, potentially causing instability or malfunctioning of the system. It is recommended to thoroughly research and consult with experienced users or technical support before attempting such modifications to avoid damaging your printer or components.
