This is my first multi-colored print on my Ender 3 V3 SE
I managed this with the Cura, post processing extension and using the pause print at layer, then, once it stopped, I heated the nozel back up (cause it set the temp to 0 for some reason), loaded up the new filament, pushed it through so it was only pushing out white, then unpaused the print. Holy, talk about a run-on scentence.

so cool i wish i could do that
You can
You don't need a dual extruder or a fancy printer to do it
with a single color printer?
Yea that's what he used for that print
the thing is, when switching filaments on my printer, i need to feed out like 50mm to get rid of the old color, and thatll probably go on the print
Read the message, he's using a plug-in on cura that stops the print on a layer so you can swap the colors, this will obv only work on some color prints and not like complicated ones
You can move the head on the control center thing in cura
Just move ot 50 cm up pr wtv and then put back down after
What slicer do you use currently
orca
I'm not sure of they have this option but it might
im not too versed in it yet
Just look up pause on layer or something like that
On your slicer there should be a layer viewer thing with a slider? Like it shows the preview
Yessss
That
And it should have a number
But there may be better ways I'm not sure
I might try it as well, never done this befor
Yes! The Ender 3 V3 SE is a single color printer. Ill post a video that explains it!
I used Cura for this.
For the Spotify code, I used this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4933844
The description tell you how to do it but it can be tricky.
- Find the song, person, or playlist that you want to do. Copy the link to it.
- Go to https://www.spotifycodes.com/#create
- Enter your Spotify URL and then click download (use the default settings) I'm aware you can download the code as a SVG file from the first site, but this will not be formatted properly for our uses.
- Go to https://convertio.co/jpeg-svg/ , upload the jpeg or png and click convert. When it's finished, click download. Rename the file to: code.svg
- Download the .scad file from the files tab on thingiverse.
- Download OpenSCAD from here and install it - https://openscad.org/downloads.html
- Make a new folder in a loaction on your computer that is easy to accesses. Then put the SVG file from step 4 and the .scard file from step 5 in the folder.
- If you would like to add a custom logo head over to: https://iconmonstr.com/plus-square-multiple-filled-svg/
- Find the logo you would like to add and click download on the svg tab of it.
- Rename it to something simple such as: spotify.svg
- Put your renamed file inside the folder with the other files.
- Double click the .scad file and OpenSCAD should open.
- Look at the right side of OpenSCAD. Click the basic settings tab. Make sure the "code file" is set to: code.svg
- Play around with the settings a little bit to what you like (if you type in a number you may have to click next to it to unslect the text box for the changes to show up.
(15-18 is if you are doing a custom logo) - If you are using a custom logo make sure to pick the custom logo box as indicated by the picture bellow.
- Click the dropdown named Custom Logo Settings.
- Set the custom logo file to what you named it before in step 10.
- Play around with those settings until you get what you like.
- Play around with the settings in the other dropdowns for your liking.
- Once you are happy with the tag, click F6 to render. Keep in mind this can take a minute.
- Once it finishes render click F7 to export it as an .stl to the location of your choice.
- Once that is done, import it into the slicer and follow this: #1215878715700019321 message
