Hey all. i have a stupid question. I have a .3mf file and when I open it the default printer is the X1C and I want to use it on my P1P. When I change the printer I lose all the coloring settings and filament choices in the original .3mf.

How do I open this and just have it change the printer but not the filament and other settings? What am I doing wrong?

To change the printer in a .3mf file without losing the filament and other settings, you can try the following steps:

  1. Open the .3mf file in your 3D printing software.
  2. Select the option to change the printer to your desired P1P.
  3. Before confirming the change, ensure that you save the project as a new file, ideally with a different name to avoid overwriting the original.
  4. Once the printer is updated, check if the filament and other settings remain intact.
  5. If the settings are lost, you may need to manually adjust them back to match the original configuration on the X1C.

If the issue persists, you could consider exporting the original filament and coloring settings separately and re-importing them after switching the printer. This way, you can preserve the specific settings while using a different printer.
