I just got a (used, pre-assembled) ender 3 last week or so and I've been printing calibration cubes to make sure I got it setup as well as I can. First cube I printed turned out well except it had an elephants foot, so I fixed the bed level and also re-sliced the cube. Ever since then I've been getting this pattern ONLY on the right side of the cubes, and it gets more prominent the closer you get to the back corner. I haven't tried printing the first model again, I've been printing the re-sliced version this whole time, so I can try printing the original model later today. I tried changing the filament but that changed nothing. What can I do to get rid of this pattern?

AI Help
It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with your X or Y-axis on your Ender 3. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Check the tightness of the belts on both the X and Y-axis. If they are loose, they can cause shifting in your prints. Make sure they are tensioned properly.
-
Check the wheels on the X and Y-axis to ensure they are properly tightened and rolling smoothly. If they are too loose, they can cause inconsistencies in your prints.
-
Make sure your printer is on a stable surface to prevent any vibrations that could affect the print quality.
-
Check the alignment of the X and Y-axis to ensure they are parallel and perpendicular to each other.
-
If the issue persists, you may want to try printing a calibration model like a calibration cube or benchy boat to see if the issue is consistent across different models.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be helpful to reach out to the manufacturer or a community forum for further assistance.

Because I feel like I need to repeat this, this pattern is only visible on one side (the right side) of the cube
The left side is completely flat and looks like it's supposed to. And with the front and back, they look like how they're supposed to. Only the right side gets the pattern
is this what you're talking about? i believe that can be fixed by tuning linear advance

I have an update
I printed the older model again just to be extra sure that it was the hardware and not the software, because like I said the first one I ever printer didn't have this issue
And wouldn't you know if, it printed fine
is that one smaller layer height?
not that layer height should affect that problem though
not sure what would be the difference
So I went to cura, reset the settings, and only changed 3 things I think, and all of which are related to the first layer only and printed that, and that also didn't have the issue
I'm not sure what could've caused this issue but out of all the checkboxes I messed with, I think printing the outside wall first might've done it
ah ok
No layer height is the same on all of them (0.2)
