Hello there, I came here about a year ago with a fan caused clog which we solved with the WinSinn 4020 and after a year of great prints and fun, I am again in need of assistance.

Aside from adding a space heater to the closet my printer is in because it was far too cold for it (the closet remains closed throughout prints so there's no weird airflow) I have changed nothing to my printer and I'm having issues yet again with clogs.

This time there is no clicking and all I have as an indicator that there's a clog is that it stops printing entirely after the first layer and this happens (image below). The bed is leveled right there's no issues for that and the fan seems to be spinning normally so I'm hoping you guys might know what's up.

AI Help

It sounds like you're experiencing a partial clog in your printer's nozzle. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

  1. Check Filament Quality: Ensure that the filament you are using is of good quality and not causing any inconsistencies or clogs.

  2. Hotend Temperature: Make sure your hotend is reaching the correct temperature for the filament you are using. Sometimes printing at a slightly higher temperature can help clear clogs.

  3. Filament Path: Check the entire filament path from the spool to the extruder for any obstructions or tangles that could be causing the clog.

  4. Cold Pull: Perform a cold pull or atomic pull to help clear out any debris or clogs in the nozzle. Heat the hotend to the recommended temperature for the filament, then manually push and pull the filament while it is cooling down to help remove any blockages.

  5. Nozzle Cleaning: You can also try removing the nozzle and cleaning it with a nozzle cleaning tool to...

To answer the AI generated response and provide extra information

  • I use Inland and Sunlu and they are both great filaments I've never had issues with before and are stored airtight whenever not in use.

  • I print at 200 without issues for most of my filaments but have temporarily increased to 210 to see if it would do anything. It did not change anything as far as I can tell.

  • The filament path is fine.

  • I have done a cold pull and am currently testing out the change.

  • We replaced the nozzle within the past month so I don't think it's an issue with the nozzle being dirty.
