I am trying to manually level the bed. I do not have a z probe sensor and cannot use sensorless homing. I want to set my z offset so that it doesnt keep scraping the bed

To manually level the bed without a sensor, you can use a piece of paper or a feeler gauge to adjust the distance between the nozzle and the bed. When you move the nozzle close to the bed, it should create a slight friction with the paper but still allow you to move the paper back and forth. Once you've found the right distance, adjust your Z offset in your printer settings to fine-tune the nozzle height. This should prevent the nozzle from scraping the bed during prints.

This is on klipper

I'm more familiar with Marlin than klipper so I can't tell you the exact line to change in the firmware, but you should have a Z_probe_offset (not the one you want) and also a Z offset. thats the one you want to mess with so that "0" ends up being right where you want it.

send a klippy log here

#

You have the value included in some config and save_config can only write to printer.cfg

#

Put the offending line into printer.cfg and remove it from the included .cfg

#

Probably in something like stepper.cfg

#

However you set up your system
