#nanoBelt - A belt 3D printer that folds

Been going through a few iterations on this design but nearing the end of the road now.

This is an easy to assemble belt 3d printer, it goes together like Lego.

BOM has been minimised where possible so it should be easy to reproduce.

In the style of repraps this printer should be able to print all the frame parts on its own bed, everything else is cheap parts sourced from AliExpress.

I'll keep a log here of progress, if you guys have any questions ask away.

Look at this, @orchid remnant

Interesting kinematic choice, it isn't every day we see a H-bot

I know core xy is like the default these days but I had trouble with the belt path due to the compact frame of the printer

#

Also wanted to avoid a front beam to let the printer feel a bit more open

this is neat! 🙂 very cool. Do you already know what you will use as the beltmaterial?

Cheers for the kind words guys, will hopefully get a control board hooked up in the next few days to get it moving under it's own power

oh it moves, nice

#

how big is it?

the belt will be about 150 wide, the frame is roughly 20x22cm

So people were asking about the bed material, slight change of plan
