#Starships SN-8, S24 & S25 Printed on Ender 3 v2
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
very nice.. i tried to print zeppelins on my ender 3 v2 and cant seem to manage it. did you use any kind of adhesion?
did you print them in multiple parts?
all of these are separated into multiple sections
oh nice
i hadnt tried to. it couldnt even manage the first layer. that was my old ender thats currently sitting in the corner waiting for its fate though
it wasnt doing too good
anything break on it?
yeah
part cooling fan solders broke
it got really bad, so i opened the motherboard to replace it entirely
creality sent me the wrong fans
oof
i bought tthe new fans, got the part 2d later, resoldered it, put it back together, and in the process the motherboard fan solders broke
i got mad and now its just in the corner with its guts hanging out
those are the fans in the hotend area right?
same thing happened to me
one of the fans solders broke
the smaller one
but it broke at the fan and not mainboard
so i spent like $15 for a new set of fans and replaced the small one
yep
hotend fans broke and it just cooked the capricorn tubing
creality is nice and all, but their solders actually terrible
they snap off from the force of their own machines
are actually terrible*
yeah
the heating block is garbage
or the cylinder that slides in
its connected only by two solders and some tape
so i had to basically replace it right outta the box
dude. my best printer from creality cant manage petg temperatures
i dont know man
see, i got this bambu and its much much better
but im thankful i had my experiences with enders because i learned how printers work
same
theyre good machines dont get me wrong but i just couldnt handle the stress so i had a $1k mental breakdown and bought a bambu p1s
idk what printer ill get next
tryna double my printing capability yk
think ima get a flsun delta printer but who knows
what kinda stuff do you like to do on your printers?
ive seen a few of those in action at a few stalls and stuff
they look like good machines but they look confusing to repair in my opinion
well so far ive just made a bunch of rockets, a helmet and some trinkets
just looked at the pic and saw your kitty
looks like my cat in my pfp
a full scale helmet?
those flsun deltas would be cool for rockets like that
but also a resin printer would also probably be cool for them
yeah
it was a pain
e3v2 has such a small bed in relation to it
ive been wanting to try that
had to slice it into 6 peices
got any pics?
it wasnt done very well because of this
yeah lemme find some
ok
yeah it was a long process
basically i glued it and then used epoxy putty type stuff and covered the whole helmet in it
might actually try a helmet sometime
a very thin layer
my brother is real into that mandalorian stuff
then did a base coat of gray primer, white spray paint for a couple layers, and then the details
ye
those ought to be easier to make
simpler shape
bet this part was hard
cant even tell thats crazy
what color filament did you use?
freakin nice
yeah bit of a rough job, not gonna make another one till i have a big printer
learned my lesson
That’s sick where’d you find that file?
3 Different files
2 are free on thingiverse & the middle one is $50 on Morethan3d site
Ooh okay thx
