#Questions on the dumb compression fittings that microswiss uses

I've been struggling with my new microswiss extruder for my cr-6 se. It started getting flow issues, and not extrude enough (after calibrating e-steps). I gave up for about a week, and when I came back, the filament was stuck in the bowden tube, I couldn't move it at all. I decided to use a new PTFE, but I cannot for the life of me get the little compression fitting to slip onto my Capricorn tubing. I've been sitting here trying for the past hour and the closest I've gotten is it sort of halfway goes on but cuts into the tube a bit, getting stuck. I was wondering if there's a way to convert from micro-swiss compression fitting system to a bowden coupler?

AI Help

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your microswiss extruder. It sounds like you're having trouble fitting the compression fitting onto your Capricorn tubing. Here are a few suggestions to help you:

  1. Make sure you're using the correct size compression fitting for your tubing. Check the specifications of the microswiss extruder and ensure that you have the appropriate size for the Capricorn tubing.

  2. Lubricate the inside of the compression fitting with a small amount of lubricant such as silicone oil or grease. This can make it easier to slide onto the tubing.

  3. Trim the end of the tubing to ensure it is square and free of any uneven or jagged edges. This will help the compression fitting slide on smoothly.

  4. Apply gentle and even pressure when sliding the compression fitting onto the tubing. Avoid excessive force, as this can damage the tube. If it's not going on smoothly, try rotating the fitting while applying pressure to help it glide over the tubing.
