#Snap Flat 3D Printer
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Designed to be a rugged 3D printer, with a goal to be deployed and printing in less than 2 minutes and take up minimal space, the Snap Flat is very small, but versatile printer. With MGN9 Linear rails on every access, movement will be buttery smooth when paired with TMC2209 Stepper Motors and 59NCM Stepper motors on all axes. Build plate size is 200x200mm and will either use a 24 Volt DC bed, or be assembled to use a 110 Volt AC bed. The Z axis folds down completely and locks into place for ease of transportation and compactness, this printer is so small, it can even fit in a backpack.
It's currently being redesigned as the prior design had several flaws, but below you'll find some images of it now as it's being redeveloped.
That bed looks kinda fire though 🔥
I'm not sure about rigidity though
I'll have to test when I assemble
Every feature should have a separate sketch. Also, this carriage arrangement might be insufficient
👍
I'll try and cleanup the sketches. The carriage I may also beef up too in thickness. I thought 3mm would be a happy medium of not too heavy but strong enough.
