Hello! It sounds like there may be an issue with your printer's Z-axis. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Check the Z-axis coupling: Make sure the coupling connecting the Z-axis motor to the threaded rod or leadscrew is properly tightened. It should not be loose or slipping.
-
Lubricate the Z-axis rod: Apply a small amount of lubricant, such as lithium grease or sewing machine oil, to the threaded rod or leadscrew. This can help smooth out any friction or binding.
-
Check for any obstructions: Make sure there are no loose cables, debris, or foreign objects interfering with the movement of the Z-axis. Clear any obstructions you find.
-
Check motor connections: Ensure that all cables and connections related to the Z-axis motor are secure and properly connected.
If the issue persists, it may require further diagnosis or potentially replacing the Z-axis motor or components. It's best to consult your printer's user manual or reach out to the manufacturer's supp...
here is a vid
Video doesnt work, at least for me
here
sorry for the wait
@timber shadow
looks like something is blocking the z motors or there is too much resistance
i tried physicaly moving it and it does move by hand
so i cant find anythong jasmming it
That sounds more like motor not wired correctly. Brand new printer?
yep
does the z axis move if you just auto home
then try for fun on motor end and flip A- with B+
uhm
It might not have that many holes on the connector, but should be 2 outer and 2 inner
how?
Like this. Bend up flap a little, pull out plug,
Is this wrong
Had the same mad rumble when i swapped motors the other day
oh my god I wish I knew that was a thing before
That's how it should be for most creality steppers, but test for fun if it still rumbles if you flip the 2 middle back. You can always move them back afterwards.
Hehe :P
Do you have anything else i can do before experimenting with the electronics
Nope. As that rumble sounds like classic "not wired right"
Nope, just for the 2 middle
I mean both motors
Does both rumble the same with no movement?
Yeah both couplers kinda go back and forth
Couplers?
Yeah i mean the motor movement
Oh, it's the Z that rumbles? Then yes, both Z's motors as you don't see one of the sides being forced down while the other doesn't
K one sec stay with me
I did one but one of the wires keep’s slightly popping out when i plug it
@rotund bear
Yep seems like it was the wires
Now one is fprcing the pther
Aye. Press down the flap as you insert it to keep crimp inside plug
You also don't want to bend flap up too hard to not make it stay up :P
As in one moves up, the other goes down?
