I attempted to print an item with supports but once the supports were removed the rear of the print came out strangely. What can i change about my supports to fix this?

If the rear of your print is coming out strangely after removing supports, there are a few things you can try to fix this issue:

  1. Increase support density: The problem might be due to insufficient support material. In your slicing software, try increasing the density of the support structure. This will provide better stability during the print and make it easier to remove the supports afterward.

  2. Adjust support angle: The angle at which the supports are placed can affect the quality of the rear surface. Experiment with different angles to find the best orientation that minimizes contact with the rear surface, making support removal easier.

  3. Enable or refine support interface: Some slicing software offers a support interface feature, which adds a thin layer of solid material between the support and the print. This can improve the rear surface quality by minimizing contact marks left by the supports. Adjusting the interface settings can also help achieve better results.
