#Builds will not stick to plate.

I have an Ender 3 Neo and have looked through the forums here with no success!

The plate I have is the base plate that comes with the Ender 3 Neo.

Solutions I've tried:
-Fixing the Z-offset to make sure it is not too close or too far from the plate.
-Trying different filament in case it was a filament problem.
-Made the Nozzle temperature hotter.
-Experimented with the plate's temperature (60-70-80-90-95)
-Thoroughly cleaned the build plate with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
-Tried different sized builds to make sure the size wasn't the problem.
-Auto calibrated to make sure the plate was straight.
-Set an adhesion layer in the 3d printing app itself to help with the sticking.

Can the temperature of my room be a culprit? I live in Canada, Québec where it's below freezing and can't turn on the heating in this specific room due to wires being against the heater!

AI Help

It looks like you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, which is great. Regarding the room temperature, it can have an impact on your 3D printing results. Cold temperatures can affect the adhesion between the filament and the build plate, causing prints to curl or not stick properly.

Here are a few suggestions to address the temperature issue:

  1. Consider using an enclosure or a DIY solution to create a controlled environment around your printer. This will help maintain a stable temperature within the enclosure.

  2. Try using a heated build plate. The Ender 3 Neo already has a heated build plate, but adjusting the temperature settings within the suggested range (usually around 60-70°C for PLA) might help with adhesion.

  3. Use a build plate adhesive like hairspray, glue stick, or a specialized 3D printing adhesive. These can help improve adhesion even in colder temperatures.

Additionally, you can try adding a small space heater or a space heater with a built-in thermos...

Sorry for the question but have you washed your bed with warm soapy water?

Really? 😮

Try using dish soap and a soft wash cloth or sponge, nothing abrasive

#

And then try with paper towel.

#

And of course don't touch the build plate

#

With your fingers

#

Wash it for a solid 60 seconds

#

Gently

Huh!! I will try that and get back to you!! Thank you very much!

# low flint Really? 😮

Soap removes oil, isopropanol just spreads it around (not quite, but you can't really ungrease a plate without using copious amounts of alcohol)

The first layer won't even stick, that's the thing 🥲

#

The purge line sticks fine, that's the weirdest part

Please show a video of the printer trying, then
