Hello,
I decided to clean my nozzle and such after it clogged and now it just doesn't extrude enough material.
I have cleaned the whole system multiple times, raised temps looked at cura settings, swapped nozzles(from .4 to .25) and tried different materials.
Sometimes it simply "stops" extruding mid print and then starts again after some time.
What has helped was tightening the whole heating block to the heatsink above but that is tight asf now.
system is a anet a8 with an e3d v6 and a glass bed with a pei bed
does anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like you have already done a good job troubleshooting your extrusion issue. Since you have cleaned the nozzle, checked the temperatures and settings, and even tried different materials, it is important to examine other potential causes.

  1. Filament diameter: Ensure that the filament diameter you have set in your slicing software (Cura) matches the actual diameter of your filament. Incorrect filament diameter can affect extrusion.

  2. Filament quality: Poor quality or old filament can lead to inconsistent extrusion. If possible, try using a fresh and high-quality filament to see if it improves the extrusion.

  3. Filament path: Check for any obstructions or friction within the filament path, including the filament spool, feeder, and filament guide. Ensure that the filament can move through smoothly without any resistance.

  4. Extruder tension: Verify that the tension on the extruder is correctly adjusted. Too loose or too tight can cause under-extrusion or inconsistent extr...
