#First layer issues on the starting corner

Hello folks! I just got a Sovol SV01 Pro a week ago and my prints have been turning out pretty well I think except for the first corner of every print (and the z offset, but more about that later). I've attached a few pictures that show my issue, when I start a new print the skirt and outer layers seem to go well but once the printer starts the back-and-forth part the first few passes either don't extrude or get peeled up or something that causes a gap. This happens regardless of the level, as you can see one of my prints was a little low, the other a little high, but the outcome is the same. After the first corner the rest of the layer generally prints without issue. I'm not sure if it's related, but whenever I level the bed according to the instructions by touching the nozzle to a piece of paper until it just scratches the extruder is always way too high. The only way it seems to print properly is to have it low enough that the paper barely moves on the corners and is completely clamped down in the center for the z offset. When I adjust the z offset down by 0.05 it's too close and when I adjust it up by 0.05 it's printing in midair. I've tried printing PLA at 200, 205, and 210 with the same results and PLA+ at 215. They all behave the same. I'd love some help if you have any ideas! Thank you 😊

From the description and images you provided, it seems like you are facing some leveling and first layer adhesion issues with your Sovol SV01 Pro. Here are a few suggestions to help troubleshoot and address these problems:

  1. Bed Leveling: Ensure that your bed is properly leveled before each print. It's good to have the nozzle slightly closer to the bed, but not so close that the filament has difficulty extruding or the first layer doesn't adhere properly. Try adjusting the bed leveling screws gradually, making sure the nozzle is at the correct height across the entire print surface.

  2. Cleaning the Print Surface: Make sure the bed is clean and free from any dust, debris, or leftover adhesive from previous prints. Wipe it with isopropyl alcohol to get a clean surface for better adhesion.

  3. First Layer Settings: Check your slicer settings for the first layer. Consider increasing the first layer thickness or extrusion width slightly, as this can help with adhesion. Additionally, s...
