#Ender 3v2 oozing filament
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If you are experiencing filament oozing or excess filament coming out during travel moves with your Ender 3 V2, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Adjust retraction settings: Retraction helps to pull the filament back during travel moves to reduce oozing. Try increasing the retraction distance gradually, for example, from 1mm to 5mm, and see if it helps. You can also adjust the retraction speed to find the optimal settings for your printer.
-
Check your hotend temperature: A temperature of 210 degrees Celsius is generally suitable for PLA filament, but it may vary depending on the brand or quality of filament you are using. Experiment with temperatures slightly lower or higher to see if it improves the issue.
-
Inspect and clean the nozzle: Sometimes, excess filament oozing can occur due to a clogged or partially blocked nozzle. Remove the nozzle and clean it thoroughly using a nozzle cleaning tool or a thin wire. Ensure there is no clogging that c...
have you tried drying ur filamment
No
welp theres ur issue
I doubt it's that as it was just working perfectly the day before
check ur nozzle then
make sure theres no filament on it
and too high of retracts can also cause stringing
id recommend running a retract tower from 1mm to 5mm\
anything over and you have anohter problem
I had it to one, then started upping it till 8 but still had the issue
I'm trying my other filament
Same thing
Retract settings in slicer don't apply to the purge line, it's set up in the start gcode.
Anyway why do you care about that? After that purge line skirt/brim should be printed, so that oozing shouldn't affect the print itself?
Well it does it after everytime it lifts to move
Did you visually confirm extruder (not) doing retracts at all when it's printing? They look pretty obvious if you watch the gears
No I'll check when I can
