#Ender 3 automatically prints at the wrong temperature

It sounds like you might be experiencing some issues with your print settings and adhesion. Here are a few things you could try to troubleshoot the problems:
-
Check your temperature settings: Ensure that your printer's temperature settings match those in your slicing software (Cura). Check if there are any specific temperature changes or overrides in the slicing settings that might be causing the difference in temperature during the print.
-
Clean and level your build plate: Make sure your build plate is clean and free from any residue or oils. Additionally, ensure that the build plate is properly leveled to ensure good adhesion. Leveling the bed ensures that the nozzle is the right distance away from the bed, helping the filament stick properly.
-
Use a suitable adhesive or build surface: If your prints are still not sticking well, you can use different adhesives such as hairspray, glue stick, or specialized 3D printing adhesives like a build plate tape or a PEI sheet. Alter...
That isn’t helpful
Nope
Post your start gcode
Why? Its one of the better AI answers here. These points are standard procedure for your problems, did you check those and the problem still persists?
I don’t know where to find it
Yes
And I’ve stated that in the post
Okay then the gcode like clay said

; Ender 3 Custom Start G-code
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G28 ; Home all axes
M104 S{material_standby_temperature} ; Start heating up the nozzle most of the way
M190 S{material_bed_temperature_layer_0} ; Start heating the bed, wait until target temperature reached
M109 S{material_print_temperature_layer_0} ; Finish heating the nozzle

Second line?
Oh yeah nvm

I set my z steps a while back but I changed computers but didn't transfer over profiles
But I think I also messed with an extrusion multiplier
On the old profile
Can I make it so both heat at once?
You got this printer new right? No chance of any firmware changes that you wouldn't know about?
Yup, straight from creality
A long time ago I changed the zsteps to like 100
I don't see how that would affect the temperatures of the printer
Do you have a computer you can plug into the micro USB and use pronterface?
Not anymore
Go into Cura, look up the setting "printing temperature initial layer"
Wow
Can I send you a Gcode of a calibration cube? You put it in your printer and see if it does the same thing?
What?
Yup, 175
@empty osprey
And it’s peeling up
This is upsetting
Thats super strange. Id recommend you try resetting your printer to factory settings
Cause that rules out the gcode
But my esteps
I bet its the material_standby_temperature, try commenting that line out (add # in front of it), slice a print and see if it's heating up at all. My guess is that the definition material_print_temperature_layer_0 does not get recognized and skipped.
Busy rn sorry
No problem
I read the gcode, I noticed preheating temp is set as a whole number and printing temp has a decimal point. No idea why, and it shouldn't matter but modify the file so both are whole numbers.
Which line is it? Im not seeing it
Depending on what you mean:
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G28 ; Home all axes
M104
THIS LINE
M190 S{material_bed_temperature_layer_0} ; Start heating the bed, wait until target temperature reached
M109 S{material_print_temperature_layer_0} ; Finish heating the nozzle
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X0.1 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move to start position
G1 X0.1 Y200.0 Z0.3 F1500.0 E15 ; Draw the first line
G1 X0.4 Y200.0 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move to side a little

G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X5 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move over to prevent blob squish```
Or this in the sliced file
M82 ;absolute extrusion mode
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G28 ; Home all axes
; G29 ; CR Touch bed leveling
M104 S175 ; Start heating up the nozzle most of the way
NUMBER AS INTEGER
M190 S60 ; Start heating the bed, wait until target temperature reached
NUMBER AS INTEGER
M109 S200.0 ; Finish heating the nozzle
NUMBER AS FLOAT
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed```
I answered the question of @empty osprey
Do you know why the prints un stick?
https://www.simplify3d.com/resources/print-quality-troubleshooting/not-sticking-to-the-bed/
Also did you do the suggested change in the gcode?
This suggestion?
Hello
Prints unstick due to poor bed adhesion, this can be caused by quite a few things, most commonly improper nozzle height and unclean print bed.
I recommend you use the paper method to level your bed,
if you have touched your bare hands on the bed, you should wash it with soap and hot water as the oil from your skin can cause adhesion issues
Did you have any luck with your temperature starting too low?
Not yet. I am extremely sick rn
Get well soon!
