#Would someone be willing to help me compile some firmware for a CR10S?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I understand that you're experiencing difficulties with configuring your SKR Mini3 v2 (RCT6) board and the additional components you mentioned. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Verify connections: Double-check all the connections between the board, LCD, CR-Touch, and Micro Swiss NG hot end. Ensure that the cables are properly seated and connected to the correct pins.
-
Check firmware compatibility: Make sure that the firmware you're using supports all the addons and features you want. Verify that the firmware version matches your specific board and components. You may need to download and flash a compatible firmware to ensure proper functionality.
-
Error analysis: When encountering errors, make note of the specific error messages or behaviors. Search for these online or consult the documentation to understand the cause. This will help narrow down the troubleshooting steps.
-
Configuring firmware: Review the configuration files for your chosen f...
can you post the errors you are getting?
\marlin-2.1.2.1\marlin\src\pins\stm32f1/pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h:153:6: error: #error "CAUTION! Ender-3 V2 display requires a custom cable. See 'pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h' for details. (Define NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING to suppress this warning.)"
153 | #error "CAUTION! Ender-3 V2 display requires a custom cable. See 'pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h' for details. (Define NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING to suppress this warning.)"
Error: Failed to parse Marlin features. See previous error messages.
I guess i do not know how to define them?
have you tried uncommenting NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING?
@manic flame
im checking rn
That's where it throws the error, but it should be defined at
\marlin-2.1.2.1\marlin\src\pins\stm32f1/pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h
try to ctrl f it there
ok just a min.
This would be it right?
this is why I am bad at this... @hollow sierra
im no marlin wizard, but look for a line like //#define NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING and take out the //
\marlin-2.1.2.1\marlin\src\pins\stm32f1/pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h:343:2: error: #endif without #if
343 | #endif // HAS_WIRED_LCD
| ^~~~~
Error: Failed to parse Marlin features. See previous error messages.
Thoughts?
you either didnt uncomment a #if or uncommented a #endif you probably didnt mean to
Do I need all these other panel wire diagrams in here? Can I delete them all except the 3v2 lcd one?
if its commented out (green) and you dont want it you can remove it
if it cant go inside then yeah, i have no clue how marlin config is setup but if it doesnt enter the if statement then it doent matter
in this case if there is a line like #define IS_TFTGLCD_PANNEL it would enter
But I dont use that panel right? so is this using all of these panels?
It doesn't matter really, as your compiled firmware won't include options you don't select anyway
Did you ever find the define line in the skr mini header file?
I guess not?
I thought I posted it
but I clueless at this point
@hollow sierra
Follow the first file path in this
Ending in .h
this is where I am
Check line 153 maybe
So this used to say #endif then I changed it to #define
Then the error below in that photo is the next error I got
Ok
I wish I knew more, try searching up ender 3 V2 screen marlin
So should it be #endif #define
No define statements are outside of the corresponding if statements
Man I’ve done so many hours and hours of research lol and finally got here
Ok
Thanks for the help man
Wish I could solve it for yah 😦
I'll try to edit the firmware and compile it on my end
would be rad!
@manic flame is your crtouch connected to the z endstop or just the crtouch connector on the motherboard?
so you have the crtouch connnected to the 5 pin plug on the motherboard?
correct
👍
what's your nozzle to probe offset with the microswiss?
and do you have a runout sensor? @manic flame
not hooked up
k
is 300x300x400 correct?
yeah man
were you able to find your nozzle to zprobe offset?
I had a general one but yes. where would I have put that in the config.h?
ok I have this somewhere
Also I'm not sure if it works because it doesn't say anything about a custom cable, but i selected the ender 3 v2 screen as DWIN_CREALITY_LCD
it says it's the stock one
where is this file?
is it configuation.h?
#define NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET { -40, -10, -20 }
error: #error "CAUTION! Ender-3 V2 display requires a custom cable. See 'pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_common.h' for details. (Define NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING to suppress this warning.)"
I'll upload it to paste bin once I look through it
with the above deliberate error, you add #define NO_CONTROLLER_CUSTOM_WIRING_WARNING to your Configuration.h file
this was something that was suggested to me
error?
shit load of them lol
it filled up my whole terminal
I hve like 50
it could be the the .ini is still broken
I had to follow this comment to fix mine last week
https://www.reddit.com/r/MarlinFirmware/comments/17yqwnl/help_needed_compilation_errors_with_marlin/
albeit for an skr e3 v3
what does this mean?
I do Have the 3v2 though.. but it is very similar from what I have read
dude this is just too much for me
essentially there was an update to the build environment, but marlin didn't update to reflect the changes
so I am screwed?
it says you ahve to use linux or something as well.
I do have linux
but man..
why so difficult

see how all of the errors are in the build environment?
I'm going to try another environment
ugh
Both of the environments seem to be broken right now, STM32F103RC_btt and STM32F103RC_btt_USB
I would add an issue report on the github at https://github.com/MarlinFirmware/Marlin/issues
this is beyond my skills lol
i got lucky that there was a reddit post for my exact board
I have like 3 people helping me and you have gotten the furthest
I don't think that an older version of marlin will work either bc it uses the same environment
I would love to know if you end up getting it working, send me a ping if you do
can you send me the config h and adv you built? or post it in the marlin support chat if you are apart of that discord
I'll upload the files rn, one sec
no worries, tried to pass it forward since someone else helped me last week
file's will need a couple more min to upload, figured I would include all of the marlin build
dude, np lol
