I posted this a in question chat but no one responded. I did a calibration test for my new Sovol sv06 plus and I want to know how well it did and what to change to make it better.

how well it did
that's pretty much only for you to decide. If you're happy, you can stop tuning and start printing actual useful stuff. If you are disappointed with some aspect of the test, we can look at in more detail
these tests aren't really meant to be "aced" either... the idea is that the printer fails somewhere, so you know to avoid those failure points in your own designs
e.g. the final level of the overhang arch is basically impossible
I get that but what about all the stringing? That’s something I’d like to look at. I’ll do a temp test to see the best temp to print at but numbers on the bridges and the arch did not come through well enough to read so there is the fine detail things that need to be worked on. I just don’t know how to do these things in my slicer
one thing to check is if your filament might be wet. You can tune as much as you like, wet filament will always string
next tunable aspect for stringing are usually retractions. Too much or too little can both lead to stringing.
it's somewhere in the printing profile... you should do a test tower to find the right value first probably though
Ok, can I do a temp test at the same time?
not really... that would also require basically a squared amount of test-portions
if you want to check 5 temperatures and 5 retraction distances, you'd have to do a tower with 25 test "points", instead of just doing 2 towers with 5 each
doesn't really work, nope
Ok just wondering
with temperature and retraction at the same time, the printer would need to wait more for the hotend heating up and cooling down than you could ever hope to save
Yeh I just thought of that it
Well I started the retraction test I’ll let you know the results
@honest dragon I’ve got one more question. Does temp affect retraction at all?
unfortunately, almost everything affects retraction. But if you have a reasonable value dialed in, it'll roughly work for most situations
