Does anyone know what could be causing these layer gaps? They go around the whole print, and have caused a different print to split into two after done printing

it seems to have happened arround the same heigt/layer each time (about 7 mm at 0.2 layer height)

Layer gaps in 3D prints can be caused by several factors. Here are a few possible causes to consider:

  1. Incorrect slicer settings: Check if your slicer settings are properly configured. Ensure that the layer height, print speed, and extrusion settings are appropriate for your printer and filament.

  2. Insufficient filament flow/extrusion: Verify that the extruder is properly calibrated and that there are no obstructions in the filament path. Adjusting the extrusion multiplier settings might help.

  3. Printing temperature: Fluctuations in printing temperature can result in inconsistent layer adhesion. Make sure you are printing at the manufacturer-recommended temperature for your filament.

  4. Cooling issues: Insufficient cooling can cause overheating and lead to gaps. Consider adding or adjusting cooling fans to enhance airflow around the print.

  5. Mechanical issues: Check for any loose belts, pulleys, or loose parts in your 3D printer's mechanical system that may affect the prin...
