#Bambu lab isnt good

The 3D printing process can have its challenges, but with practice and troubleshooting, many errors can be overcome. It is subjective whether the potential benefits outweigh any difficulties. Some find the ability to create custom, intricate designs worth the effort, while others may prefer more traditional manufacturing methods depending on their needs and circumstances. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide if the advantages of 3D printing outweigh any potential difficulties you may encounter.
I would have to argue that you may have experienced just a bad printer they do exist it does happen but Bambu Labs more often will help you narrow this down and possibly warrenty that printer if so
I have not really heard of anyone hating on bambu labs for out of box quality being terrible
to print with
I have heard them complain about it being locked down, and not that easy to get around using other slicers etc
but having used Orca I can see what makes Bambu Labs Slicer pretty good aswell
Sure the layout is not conventional but its far from terrible. If you really dislike it it could be that a printer that you could refer to as being the Apple in the 3D printing space may not be for you.
I do like to Tinker I have built my own printer from a foundational base, I own an out of box printer aswell, and in saying all that there are days where I would KILL for a X1C with AMS or your printer with an AMS, just for the sheer simplicity of tuning and sheer fact I can send a print and not worry about it that once it gets dialed in for materials it should just work
I have considered actually selling a printer and buying a Bambu just for the sake that I know its reliable and a solid work horse that I don't really have to modify to get quality prints from.
but in saying that the K1 from Creality is not much of a different experience at least I would not think it would be
That one AFIA still needs its cloud related services and and proprietary slicer for some of its features to work.
The k1 is great and it doesn’t require anything cloud if u don’t connect to the internet and u can just do usb flash drive transfer or just flash normal klipper as there’s a built in root option to the new OS update
I did see that root option, the last I explored that concept redditors were on about how it was semi locked down and did not allow flashing regular Klipper, I am guessing this has been rectified at some point, another user was trying to do something related before it kept putting the SSH dir into the gcodes area but winSCP revaled all the relevant files
Not sure if they did not understand what to do or not
But I tried to get them to CD out of it and they said they couldn't going by what you just said I am inclined to think they were not using the terminal commands correctly to get our of the dir path
Good to know they un f**d the K1 and it now can be used without any proprietary solutions if that is the case the OP may as well switch to K1 if not happy with the Bambu
I don't know the exact build differences between them, I would think the Bambu may be marginally better build design but that is just based on Crealities historic quality and see the release of the K1 and pro/cons
I am not too surprised though that Creality may have upped the game for the K1 as they had nothing to compete with the Bambu Labs printers for a long bit
being a flag ship printer it would have to at least be equal many ways if on a similar price range.
