#ROSTOCK MAX v2 and Ender v4.2.2 mainboard possible?

Yes, it is possible to replace the RAMBo board in your printer with a 32-bit board from an Ender 3. However, please note that it may require some modifications and wiring changes to fit and work properly. As for running Klipper, it should be compatible with most 32-bit boards, including the one you mentioned. Just ensure that the firmware and configuration are set up correctly.
changes made so far: v6 hotend from e3d
it is possible but you will need to determine the pinouts of the current machine and make sure there are enough ports on the new board as well. Such as motors, for a delta it's typically 3 + the extruder one, the limit switches, heaters, thermistors. Also important is making sure you have the correct connectors to fit into the new board as you might need to either splice or re-crimp the ones being used with the old board.
I believe everything should be okay with it
but also regarding voltages
if you are changing out the power supply then that will be a bit more involved too
do I have to consider that the creality board was 24v and the power supply is a 12v
do I have to change power supplies?
no most main board are fine running 12 or 24
oh okay good. How would I go about doing this type of conversion?
they have voltage regulators on them for the microcontroller and ports and can handle either voltage just fine
depends on how familiar you are with electronics and wiring
first thing is first understand the current wiring and maybe even label it
good idea actually, im stripping out everything at thr moment and re wiring everything
the very first printer I changed out the board in I didn't understand much of the signals needed but traced them all back to where they went and labelled them accordingly
I worked with this printer before, its just when I tried to do a mainboard swap there was barely any documentation
then it was a matter of just making sure you wire in the motors with the correct phases as a wrong phase can damage the board
there probably won't be but they are all roughly the same with wiring
motors, heaters, thermistors, end stops / limit switches, and any other thing such as hard wired buttons or a display are common on just about any 3D printer
oh okay, ill update this when I get wiring sorted out
sure thing, feel free to pin me if you have any other questions or need help identifying something
….
okay so i believe I i’d them all
okay now you just need to ensure the pinouts on the fans and motors will match up with the new board
heaters and thermistors (unless like a thermocoupler) have no polarity
