If your filament is getting twisted and not going through the hole in the sensor, here are a few tips to help you:
-
Straighten the filament: Before feeding it through the sensor, ensure that the filament is straightened. You can do this by gently unrolling any twists or kinks in the filament.
-
Check for obstructions: Inspect the filament path from the spool to the sensor. Look for any kinks, bends, or debris that may be causing the filament to get twisted or stuck. Remove any obstructions that you find.
-
Adjust the tension: Many sensors have an adjustable tension mechanism to hold the filament securely. Check if the tension is too tight or too loose and make necessary adjustments accordingly.
-
Lubricate the filament path: Applying a small amount of lubricant, such as silicone spray or sewing machine oil, along the filament path can help reduce friction and prevent it from getting twisted or stuck.
-
Use a filament guide: If the filament path is not straight, you can co...
yes the runout sensor
Well you just have to cut it at a 45 degree angle
but me personally, i just uninstalled it
i have now connected it with a zip tie thru the threaded hole on the top, i cant really attach it in another way because the clearance on top of my printer is like 2cm
To get it through the sensor you cut it at 45 degrees
but i just uninstalled it since i never run out of filament and its annoying to deal with
oh ye i know, its that because of the force thru all the turns, hthe filament cant stay in the drive
dont you need to cut wires for that or smth?
No, you just unplug it and unscrew it
Super easy
I keep it all in a bag just in case
wont that be giving error messages? i ghave the sovol sv06 if that matters
I dont know much about the SV06 ill be honest, but most printers dont really give out any error messages if you unplug it
if you want you can just unplug it and if it gives you any error messages then we can find another way to deal with it
okay ill look into that ye
do you also have a solution for passing angles with the filament?
can you see the gray dot in the board?
cuz i run my filament thru that, and then to the right into the sensor, and even if the sensor wasnt there it would be over the top beam. but now the extruder doesnt hold the filament. could it help if i but the grey dot at an angle to reduce the turns made?
