When transferring a 3D model from Blender to Cura, there are a few reasons why the number of faces or the appearance of the model might change:
-
Resolution: Cura might be set to a higher resolution or a different setting than what was used in Blender. This can lead to more faces being visible in Cura.
-
Modifier usage: Blender uses modifiers to create effects like smooth shading or subdivisions. When exporting the model from Blender, make sure to apply these modifiers, or Cura might display the model differently.
-
Export settings: When exporting the model from Blender, ensure that you are using a file format that retains the desired level of detail. Formats like .STL or .OBJ are commonly used for 3D printing.
Double-check these factors and make any necessary adjustments during the export process to achieve the desired appearance in Cura.
What did you export it as? If it's an .obj, try .stl instead.
Also make sure your model is manifold in blender.
