Some Information on the Ender 3
The Ender and CR-10 family of printers are very popular and were held in high regard from 2018 to early 2019.
Recently, Creality has earned a bad reputation among some 3DP communities due a perceived decline in quality control, use of cheaper components, poor customer support, and their marketing practices (including reportedly paying youtubers for good reviews). Some models reportedly have key safety features disabled making them fire hazards.
Today, there are many alternatives to the Ender series from competing brands that may offer better value for money. Some exceptions exist such as the Ender 3 s1, Ender 3s1 plus, and CR-10 v3 which are actually decent, but usually pricey compared to the competition.
If you are considering buying an Ender 3 you may want to consider evaluating some other models such as those that can be found on the printers spreadsheet
Note that the above recommendations are maintained by a couple of community members. It is recommended that you seek purchasing advice in #✅|what-printer-should-i-buy before making a decision.
I got it for like 100 🥲
the psu on the normal ender 3 is a straight fire hazard
well besides that
new
it was Amazon prime deals haha
and that still sucks
not as in you wont get the printer as in you over payed
if i were you id return it and buy a sv06
I'm willing to deal with it
its double the price but it saves you a lot in upgrades (~$300 in upgrades) and also a lot less of a headache
whatever you say
if i were you id start with getting a raspberry pi and flashing klipper
right now I'm just trying to set the Z level to even print on the bed
i bet the bed mesh isnt setup right
and plug it into the correct port
I had like 3 hours struggling with that
Mhm
it works
it homes just fine
I'm running merlin
and did you flash the correct ender 3 firmware that includs the cr touch
my issue is I can't do the paper trick calibration
I thought the probe would do all the qork
but idk what to set the offset on the probe to
why cant u do the paper trick
can't go negative Z thanks to hardware limits
