Whoops.
Try printing it on its side maybe, or add some through bolts to reinforce it
A little thicker on the tongue, probably too. Probably go for something a bit stronger (its a good question to go for stiff -- ex cf-pa or just strong, pa). I've considered on the side ... it gets that part right for sure, strength wise. Or just crank up the temp on the ABS :D. The original intent was gf/cf-pa, i'll probably still do that.
I'm glad it failed very ABS-y, and was not catastrophic failure
Probably could go for basically 100% infill at that thin tongue too
Yeah guessing you noticed and camera didn't drop?
yah, it woudl definitely improve the layer adhestion part of it
yah, it just sagged. I looked down at the comp and I was, that ain't right, lol
it wasn't far to the wheel, lol, lucky
(I tore it off so it wouldn't go further)
You never know until you use it in anger. Its what pisses me off with so many "site" models "I haven't tried this but it prints great" or, even worse, "I haven't printed this yet..."
@trim adder I agree while I only design my own thing occasionally, because I don’t print that much, I will do a quick search online to see if is there if it is I look if they actually used it most of the time no, then I design it myself.
I just stopped looking when it comes to practical prints, my experience is nearly universally that even if I find something the mesh will have issues and I will be disappointed with results
@fiery musk ya 90% of the time that happens to me as well
