#filament oozing

If your hot end is oozing filament when idle, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:
-
Check the retraction settings: Ensure that your retraction settings are properly configured in your 3D printing software. Increasing the retraction distance and speed can help reduce filament oozing.
-
Verify the nozzle temperature: Make sure that the hot end is at the proper operating temperature for the filament you are using. Different materials may require different temperatures to prevent oozing.
-
Clean the nozzle: Sometimes, a partially clogged nozzle can cause filament to ooze out. If you notice any debris or residue in the nozzle, you can clean it using a small brush or a nozzle cleaning needle.
-
Calibrate the extrusion amount: Incorrect extrusion calibration can lead to excess filament oozing. Ensure that your printer is extruding the correct amount of filament by calibrating the extrusion steps/mm.
-
Check the cooling fan: If your printer has a cooling fan, mak...
Unfortunately Newton didn't leave 3D printers alone, either.
sadlly gravity is still a thing
I see I wasn’t sure since it’s very drastic. Even with retraction settings properly dialed in it will ooze out and a rather fast speed as if it’s almost on
yeah, add an skirt to the print and you should be fine
Thanks I appreciate the help
