I am encountering an issue where setting a retracting amount above 0.3mm results in large blobs to form at the start and end of lines. The more retraction the larger the blobs resulting in print failure. This issue only started after I rebuilt/wired my printer. after a mainboard failure. Only new component is a BTT Octopus Pro in place of a BTT SKR3. Setting retraction to lower than 0.3mm allows parts to complete but with bad stringing and blobs caused from apparent lack of retraction.
I am using a .6mm nozzle with PA set to .022. My usual retraction profile is ~.8 for most PLA, and and ~1.2 for PETG. First layer height is tuned with a BlTouch.
I have disassembled my hotend (UHF Red Lizard) and my extruder setup (Sherpa mini /w moons), neither show any abnormalities.
