I do have some experience in printing, but this was my first big print for work. Its a double walled vase made from PETG 400mm tall on a CR-10S PLUS

does anyone have experience with tall thin walled petg prints and how to avoid this warping? (Should just be a rounded rightangled tube)

Yes, I can certainly help with that. Warping can be a common issue when printing tall and thin-walled objects with PETG. Here are a few tips to help avoid warping:

  1. Adhesion: Ensure that you are using proper bed adhesion methods such as using a heated bed with adequate adhesion materials like painter's tape, glue stick, or specialized PETG adhesion sheets.

  2. Enclosure: Consider using an enclosure or covering your printer to maintain consistent temperatures throughout the printing process, as temperature fluctuations can lead to warping.

  3. Slow down the printing speed: Reducing the printing speed can help minimize the stress on the print and reduce the chances of warping. PETG generally prints well at speeds around 40-60 mm/s.

  4. Cooling: PETG benefits from minimal cooling during the printing process. Make sure your cooling fan is set to a low or off setting to avoid rapid cooling, which can cause warping.

  5. Print orientation: It's crucial to choose the right print orientat...
