#Severe under extrusion on my modded e3 v2

Under-extrusion can occur due to several reasons. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:
-
Check the filament: Make sure the filament is not tangled or knotted and that it is the correct diameter for your printer. Also, ensure that it is not too old or moisture-contaminated, as this can cause under-extrusion.
-
Clean the nozzle: A clogged or partially blocked nozzle can lead to under-extrusion. Heat up the nozzle and carefully clean it using a needle or a nozzle cleaning tool. Be cautious not to damage the nozzle.
-
Calibrate the extruder: It's possible that the extruder steps may need to be calibrated. You can do this by measuring the length of filament that is actually being extruded and comparing it with the expected value. Adjust the extruder steps accordingly.
-
Check the extruder tension: Ensure that the tension of the extruder spring is properly set. If it's too loose, the filament may not be fed consistently, resulting in under-extrusion.

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! $28.23 32% Off | KINGROON All Metal Extruder Direct Drive Hotend Kit Short Range For 3D Printer Ender 3 CR10 CR-6 Kobra Vyper Chiron Longer LK5
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mM8J6Qi using this extruder
Maybe a partial clog also kind of looks like you z offset is too low
I changed the nozzle completely
O
Potentially it could be an r-step issue do you know what diameter filament u are using
Should be 1.75mm
E-step
Ill check with calipers
Im running a titan clone from kingroon on my ender 3
I sent the aliexpress link
What’s that is that an extruded
This is the titan
Ok I guess direct drive could be different is this you first time printing with it
?
No
This randomly popped up
With my new filament
Now its happening with old filament
Hmm
Maybe just adjust the e steps and see if that works
Also calibrate the z offset ?zoffset
? Zoffset
I leveled my printer a bunch, i dont think severe of underextrusion would be caused
Well if you recently levelled without changing z offset that will do it you will need to calibrate z
I moved my z limit switch a bit to fix that cause I switched to PEI
Do you know what z offset is
How would I do that on my ender 3 v2
Movement scroll zoffset
Yes! If you have never adjusted it this can cause many issues
Maybe in the settings
It’s there just look around
Not at my printer rn, ive checked before multiple times and its not there
What section would it be under
I’m not sure if you have a v2 it should be under movement but I guess I just can’t say i have a Neo v1
Just look up how to calibrate z offset
I think only printers with Abl have the z offset in the menu
Oh set home offsets
But it never lets me click it
It just beeps loudly

Trying to get the full picture of your situation here.
So printing fine, new filament and you get the cube at the top? Nothing else changed since your last successful print?
I'm thinking maybe a clog since it's after a filament change.
Did you notice your extruder clicking during this print?
