It's great to know that most aspects of your print are turning out well! While it's normal for some parameters to remain consistent throughout a temperature tower, such as smoothness and bridge quality, the main purpose of a temperature tower is to identify the ideal printing temperature for minimizing issues like stringing and blobbing.
If you are not noticing any significant changes in these issues between different temperature levels on the tower, there could be a few possible reasons for this:
-
Incorrect temperature settings: Ensure that the temperature variations in your temperature tower are within the acceptable range for your filament. Double-check that your printer's temperature settings are accurate.
-
Filament quality: Lower-quality filaments may not show noticeable differences in print quality across temperature variations. Consider using a higher-quality filament for more distinct results.
-
Printing speed: Some temperature-related issues, like stringing and blo...
If your stringing is this bad at increasingly lower temperatures I suspect it may have absorbed a lot of moisture
At 220 there was hardly anything though. But i get what you mean, i do have a dryer that i run while i print at 50° for about an hour before i start usually
Should i have it run longer?
Run it with a small gap in the lid, so the moisture can escape. Store your filament in airtight containers or bags with dessicant after drying. :)
