#Resin warping/peeling issues

I've just gotten an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra. This is my first resin printer, and I'm trying out a calibration model for now. I had a couple of failed attempts where a few layers of resin stuck to the film, but not the build plate itself. My print settings are in one of the attached images. I'm using Elegoo ABS-Like 2.0 resin (grey).

After putting a little heater near my setup, waiting for the bottle of resin to warm up, and re-calibrating the Z-zero position, I managed to get the print in the attached pictures. I think the ambient temperature was roughly 19 degrees at the time, not factoring in the heater. I'm not sure how much the little heater did to affect that.

I'm quite impressed with how it looks from above, but on the underside, there is a lot of layer warping and peeling, and the base of the model is not attached to roughly half of the supports.

Does anyone know what a likely cause of this is, or even what this issue is typically called?

Thank you for any help

Based on your description and the attached images, the issue you are experiencing is commonly known as "failed adhesion" or "unsupported layers". It occurs when the resin does not properly adhere to the build plate or when the support structures fail to adequately support the model.

Here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Build plate leveling: Ensure that the build plate is correctly leveled. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to level the build plate properly.

  2. Exposure settings: Check your exposure settings, particularly the initial layer exposure time. You may need to increase the exposure time for the first few layers to promote better adhesion.

  3. Supports: Make sure you have enough supports in place to adequately support the model. Consider adding additional supports or tweaking their placement to provide better stability during the printing process.

  4. Support attachment: Ensure that the supports are attache...

should I have supports for the ameralab print, or just do it as-is?

#

and tilt it or leave that alone?
