my anycubic kobra max has some bad layer shifting on the y axis and I don't know how to fix it. I tried tightening the belts and making sure everything is level and moving it to a sturdier place. the only thing that kind of worked was making the print rate 50% but everything takes twice as long to print. and this is my first time with a 3d printer so i really dont know what to do.

It sounds like you have already taken some good troubleshooting steps. Layer shifting can be caused by various factors, and here are a few more things you can try:

  1. Check the stepper motor drivers: Ensure that the stepper motor drivers on your printer's control board are properly adjusted. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or forums specific to your printer model for guidance.

  2. Lubricate the linear rods and bearings: Apply a suitable lubricant (such as machine oil or lithium grease) to the linear rods and bearings to reduce friction.

  3. Inspect the pulleys and belts: Make sure the pulleys are properly aligned and securely fastened to the motor shafts. Also, check the belts for any signs of wear or looseness. Consider replacing the belts if necessary.

  4. Increase the motor voltage: If your printer allows adjusting motor voltage, slightly increasing it can provide more torque to the motors and help prevent layer shifting.

  5. Reduce print speed gradually: Instead of red...
