Hi everyone ! I have a small question regarding fans and marlin.
I recently update the firmware on my Ender 3 (2.0.9 to 2.1.X) and since, my nozzle fan make a constant beeping sound (not from a buzzer) when turned on. I checked #define SOFT_PWM_SCALE and it's the same value as my previous firmware. Anyone know what option I should check ?

It's a 24V fan without DC Step. it's directly connected to the MB.

Here is a video to show the problem

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your nozzle fan after updating the firmware on your Ender 3 3D printer. The constant beeping sound is not typical behavior for a fan, so it would be helpful to troubleshoot a few possible causes.

First, please ensure that the fan is properly connected to the motherboard. Check for any loose connections or damage to the wiring.

Next, you can try adjusting the fan speed settings in the Marlin firmware configuration. Look for the "#define FAN_SOFT_PWM" or similar line in the configuration files and adjust the value. You can try decreasing or increasing it slightly to see if it resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, it could be a compatibility issue between the fan and the firmware version. You might want to consider reverting to the previous firmware version, as you mentioned it was working fine before the update.

If none of these steps solve the problem, it might be worth reaching out to the manufacturer or the Ender 3 user com...

I used my old firmware to test if it wasn't hardware, I don't have the noise. (it was a precompiled so I don't have the config files)

#

Solved by uncommenting #define FAN_SOFT_PWM
