Ender 3 v2
Metal Extruder
Upgraded Bed Springs

Hello, I noticed some really bad print layers on a larger print I made last night. I attached some photos. The filament is a year old but I let it dehydrate in scientific oven at 80C for two weeks recently (I work in a research lab at my uni). I also have a really worn out brass nozzle just from not knowing how to properly level my printer while having a glass bedplate. I also heard a weird noise from one of my steppers a while ago but I don't know which one.

Thank you for the help your all kings and queens!

Based on the information you provided, there are a few possible factors contributing to the bad print layers:

  1. Worn-out brass nozzle: A worn-out nozzle can affect the quality of your prints. It is recommended to replace your nozzle regularly, especially if it's noticeably worn. A worn nozzle can cause inconsistent extrusion and affect the overall print quality.

  2. Leveling the printer: Proper bed leveling is crucial for achieving good print quality. If your printer is not properly leveled, it can lead to uneven layer heights. Make sure to level your printer bed carefully by following the manufacturer's instructions.

  3. Filament condition: Although you dehydrated the filament, it's still possible that it has absorbed moisture over time, especially since it's a year old. Moisture-contaminated filament can lead to poor print quality and inconsistent extrusion. Consider getting a new spool of filament and see if that improves the print results.
