Hello, I'm new here and I'll try to make this short and simple. So the above picture is something I plan to print in the size of miniature chess pieces. This is a project Im doing for my company. We want these chess pieces to be playable and not for show. I just have a few doubts, in your opinion based on the picture, what do you think are the probable challenges I could be facing in terms of printing this. Some of my main doubts is that will this break easily if we print them? How detailed can the printing be conducted? If you have any other concerns that I should know please state them. Thanks!!
Also like what are the materials used in printing this and will it be strong? What changes shall I make to this drawing to make it more printable without compromising on detail...
@fallow bronze
PLA I think might suffice
PETG if you need the extra strength
Thin things like that will break
If dropped or bent
With pla
If you're printing this, what are the challenges you'd be facing to print this other than material.
Also in your opinion how accurately can this be printed based on the drawing given. You think this can be printed as detailed as the drawing?
@fallow bronze
So the accuracy depends on the equipment used meaning if thy have the good stuff this should be as accurate as can be right?
Also, I should use PETG if I don't wanna worry about it breaking if its dropped or bent?
@fallow bronze
PETG is stronger than PLA in some regards, but Ive never used it
Ok I understand, one more thing... In terms of printing... You have any suggestions on how to make it easier to print? Or is this sufficient and should be printable? @fallow bronze.
You have any other concerns that should be highlighted? @fallow bronze
