#new hotend doesnt fit

If the hotend does not seem to screw into the bracket of your Ender 3 v1 in one orientation, but does so when turned around, it's possible that the threading is not aligned properly. This could be a manufacturing defect or an issue caused during assembly.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot the problem:
- Ensure that you have removed any plastic debris or leftover filament from the threaded hole and the hotend's screw.
- Check for any visible damage or misalignment in the hotend or the bracket itself.
- Carefully try to align the hotend with the bracket and apply gentle and even pressure while screwing it in.
- If the problem persists, consider contacting the manufacturer or the seller to inquire about a possible defect and explore the options for repair or replacement.
Remember, it's important to follow proper safety precautions and handle the hotend with care to avoid burns or injury.
have you checked if the screws are the same size, and that the hole spacing is the same?
are there still threads in the mounting plate? or just a hole?
im using the same screws as for the previous hotend they are the same size. the screws fit in fine without the hotend.
i measured the spacing between the holes on the hotend and it seems roughly the same as the previous one
but when i try to screw in one of the holes the other ones is too much to the right or left
if that all makes sense
do you screw one of them all the way in before trying the other one, or just barely thread it in before starting the threads on the other side?
i barely screw one in before i do the other just to make sure that isnt the issue
sounds like the hole spacing is different
i bought this i would think it would fit
also its still weird to me that it does fit if i turn it 180 degrees but idk
idk this is like the third hotend that doesnt work for me
it works if you turn it upside down?
nah with the cable to the right side and the little black screw to the front it doesnt screw in with the cable to the left side and the little screw to the back it does
but im pretty sure its supposed to go in this way
like this it doesnt fit basicly
but like this it does
it works while rotated 180 degrees? is there a reason you can't leave it be like that?
if you remove these three screws, then you can rotate only the red part 180 degrees
wont that either press out the nozzle or leave the whole thing loose
i cant screw it all the way in turned around cause the heatblocks hits the bracket
obviously screw them back in after rotating the red part 180 degrees
no no i got that part lol
but if its an issue with the product i rather just send it back
if you've tried three different hotends and all have the same issue, then I doubt the hotend is the problem
no no they dont have the same issue
its all diferent issues
sorry i wasnt clear on that
no, why would it?
cause youre either turning it further then its supposed too overtightening it or leaving ot looser then it normally is
I doubt that would be an issue
okay fair enough
I'd just screw them in until they stop turning
