Hey! I want to ask what material would work well for a camera floaty and if‘s is possible to 3d print one. Short back story: I am looking forward to purchase the DJI Action 3 and want to use it over water. To prevent it from sinking I was searching for a floaty, a higher density foam casing. While DJIs Competitor, GoPro creates such Floaty’s (attachment below) there is non to be found for this model. I would love to know if this can be 3d printed and if so, how one would proceed to get it made.
Help is highly appreciated!

Hello! A floaty for your camera can definitely be 3D printed. The most suitable material for this would be a buoyant filament like TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) or ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). TPU is a flexible material that can provide good water resistance, whereas ABS is stronger and more rigid.
To get it 3D printed, you have a few options. You can either design the floaty yourself using CAD (computer-aided design) software or find a ready-made design online. Websites like Thingiverse and MyMiniFactory have a wide range of models that you can search for.
Once you have the design, you can either use your own 3D printer if you have one, or you can use a local 3D printing service. Many cities have 3D printing shops or makerspaces where you can get your model printed. Online printing services like Shapeways and Sculpteo also offer 3D printing options.
Just make sure to properly seal the printed part to ensure water resistance. You may want to use a waterproof sealant...
