there is a somewhat long story of how i got into my current situation, but ill just jump to what i have now.

i have a longer LK5, into which i have installed a BL-touch following the official instructions (which appear to now be taken offline), but never gotten to instaling the coresponding firmware onto my printer, since it appears to have been scrubbed of the internet while my BL-touch (which i had bought of Longer itself) was in shipping. Now, i had bought the BL-touch as a somewhat beginner, knowing, or at least thinking, that there was firmware available and easilly instalable, so i am somewhat out of my depths in trying to find / otherwise recreate the firmware necessary for this.

now, my question is if someone either still has these drivers lying around, or could walk me through on what otherwise to do?
and i am aware that this firmware can be manually compiled, but i really do not at all know how to do that, so i am not really considering it.

since there is no firmware tag, i will tag this Hardware, Software and Other, if this is wrong, please tell me.

I can help guide you through the process of installing the firmware for the BL-touch on your Longer LK5 3D printer. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Download the necessary firmware files for your printer and BL-touch. Since the official instructions are no longer available, you may need to find alternative sources. Try checking the Longer3D website or searching online forums and communities dedicated to 3D printing.

  2. Once you have the firmware files, you will need to upload them to your printer's control board. To do this, you will require a software called "Arduino IDE." If you haven't already, download and install Arduino IDE from the official Arduino website.

  3. Open Arduino IDE and connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable.

  4. In Arduino IDE, go to File -> Open and navigate to the location where you saved the firmware files. Open the main firmware file, which should have an extension .ino.

  5. In the Arduino IDE, select the correct board and port for you...

The first step is to identify exactly what control board is used in your machine?
