If your Sovol SV06 fails the test you described, there are a few potential issues you can check to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Make sure your printer is properly homing: The "G28" command should correctly home the printer, ensuring that all axes are properly aligned and at their respective endstops.

  2. Check the Z-axis height: The "G0 Z20" command should move the nozzle 20mm away from the bed. Verify that the distance is correct, as too low or too high of a value can affect the accuracy of subsequent commands.

  3. Confirm X and Y-axis movement: The "G0 X30 Y30" command should move the nozzle to the specified position (X=30, Y=30). Ensure that X and Y axes are moving properly and reaching the correct positions.

  4. Verify the marking and probing: The step involving marking and probing the point (G30 X30 Y30) is crucial. Ensure that you accurately marked the spot below the nozzle, and the printer should move the probe to that point.

it is stock

west raptor

ight then its a firmware or false reading on the sensor issue

gritty meadow
#

i got told to modify the firmware but idk exactly how and what to modify

west raptor
#

it could be either one but start with checking the sensor before doing big changes

gritty meadow
#

how do i check those, this is my first printer and i dont really know much

west raptor
#

in my case it was one wire being out of place that cause my prints to print 50mm off on the x axis

#

check wire connect to the bed and pull it out of the way
